Down Farm Shop
At Down Farm we grow over 50 varieties of vegetables in our market garden. We have an abundance of vegetables from May - December. We grow delicious vegetables organically and prioritising the health of the soil. We use the "no-dig" method of growing which means we do not till the soil. We supply local shops, restaurants, veg boxes and farmers' markets.

Community Supported Agriculture
Community Support Agriculture (CSA) is is a partnership between farmers and customers in which the responsibilities, risks and rewards of farming are shared. Farmers receive a more stable income and close connection with their community, and customers benefit by eating fresh healthy local food, feeling more connected to the land where their food is grown.
We are offering CSA shares for the first time in 2020. CSA customers will start receiving their share of veg earlier in the season (Date TBC) and continue to receive a share of veg longer through the winter into 2021, with a break over Christmas. Customers still pay the same price per week as veg boxes but the contents fluctuates with the season.
This model is not for everyone, but for those who would like a weekly share of produce, no matter what we have, and don't mind experimenting in the kitchen, this might be for you! Some weeks you will receive more than the monetary value of your share, and others it will be less. We will always aim for it to balance so you are not out of pocket.
Small shares £11/week
Large shares £16/week
Discounts are available for paying upfront for the whole season.
Shares will be available from Early spring 2020 (TBC) till March 2021, with a hiatus over Christmas and early Jan.
This is very much a seasonal box where you will feel the abundance in the summer, the root crops in winter, and the hungry gap as we approach the new season.
We can accept hours of volunteering in exchange for a discount on your share. Please contact us if this is of interest to you.
